They may do it for a crust, but they’re the ones that get you home safe from the pub. And some of them have some ripper tales to tell. For example, this fella below, being interviewed on the Andrew Denton show, Enough Rope

Ah, yes, our good cabbies put up with a lot of larrikin rubbish from us, and they should be commended for doing so. Speaking of cabbies, one particular Australian cabbie decided to celebrate the nation’s multicultural heritage by writing, recording, filming, and releasing his very own song! Manjit Boparai, a Brisbane cabbie originally from India moved to Australia in 1988. He is a naturalised Australian and loves his country so much, he wrote a tune he calls Song Australia – check it out:
